We are a family-based team, located in Macomb county, trying to share our passion for bubble tea with the masses.
Our name is Kawaii Bubble Tea. The word Kawaii is Japanese for cute, and overall shows off the Asian part of the drink we are representing. Cute is a popular aesthetic in Japanese culture, and it's one we appreciate and would like to emulate.
Bubble tea, also referred to as boba, is a cold, frothy drink made with iced tea, sweetened milk or other flavorings, and usually with sweet black balls or “pearls” made from tapioca. Bubble Tea is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Taichung in the 1980s. Most bubble tea recipes contain a tea base mixed/shaken with fruit or milk, to which chewy tapioca balls or fruit jellies are often added. Ice-blended versions are usually mixed with fruit or syrup, resulting in a slushy consistency. With over 400 drink combinations, we're sure you'll find a drink you love and we will show you just why we love bubble tea so much.
